Is It Always Bigger in Texas? Penis Size State by State

People have always been a bit obsessed about sex. Scientists have found pornography and sex toys dating back thousands of years. Techniques for penis enlargement and sexual techniques have been handed down for generations with books on the subject, such as the Kama Sutra, which are thought to have been written as early as 200 BC.

TexasWith such an active interest in sex, studies on sexual behaviour and characteristics have become increasingly common. These studies help us to understand our own sexuality better and they also help us to find our place in society. We naturally compete with one another when it comes to looks and physical appearance so men have always been interested in how well-endowed other guys are.

Back in the 1940s, researchers were only just beginning to venture into the field of human sexuality. Around that time Dr. Alfred Kinsey worked with his team to create a questionnaire that would become a part of the most influential books on human sexuality ion history. The books he later published on sexual habits and characteristics of both men and women would shape America’s views about sex for years to come.

Notably, the book Sexual Behaviour in the Human Male asked respondents to report the size of their erect penis. Men wrote in with their own measurements which were used as data in the book. The problem was that the data was self-reported, meaning researchers simply asked men to report the measurements of their own penis, but they did not conduct their own measurements. The end result was that the first publication of the book said the average length of an American man’s penis was about 7 inches. Subsequent studies which used independent measurements, found the real average to be closer to 5 inches.

Still, it marked the beginning of a national obsession with penis size. Recently, a condom company decided to do a little study of their own. The online condom supplier Condomania took a look at their own sales to see which states bought which condoms. Since the supplier offers condoms in a range of sizes, they used their scale to rank states based on who bought the larger condoms. While you could hardly call it a true scientific method, it’s made headlines across the country.

So who’s in the top 10? Are things really bigger in Texas? Which states are more likely to have guys reading and writing penis enlargement reviews? According to Condomania’s unscientific but still interesting study, the states with men who buy larger condoms are:

  1. North Dakota
  2. Rhode Island
  3. South Dakota
  4. District of Columbia
  5. Massachusetts
  6. Ohio
  7. Arizona
  8. Alabama
  9. New York
  10. South Carolina

Minnesota, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Missouri, Hawaii and Alaska all appear in the bottom ten. And so where does this leave Texas? Sadly, the ‘Bigger’ state doesn’t measure up in this regard and Texas came in at number 42.

So does this mean guys in those bottom states will be reading penis enlargement reviews to find out which devices might help? The jury is still out but the news offers some relief for men who fall in the middle. Guys from states that scored exactly in the middle of the scale – Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, Tennessee, Georgia and New Mexico – should be comforted in the knowledge that being average makes them … average. Or maybe they’ll consider a move to one of the bottom states in order to have an advantage. While the study may lack some scientific credibility, it’s gotten a lot of people talking about mankind’s favourite topic: themselves.
