The 5 Ranges for Penis Size – What’s Your Number?

When it comes to male sexual health, penis size is often the focus.  Although sexual performance relies on a number of different things, the size of a man’s penis often affects his Penis sizeown self-esteem as well as his overall performance.  Dozens, if not hundreds, of articles have been devoted to highlighting the average size of a man’s penis in order to reassure most men that they fall well within normal parameters.  However, many men still feel as though they fall short and use a penis extender to gain length and boost their self-esteem.  While there’s nothing wrong with using a penis extender responsibly in order to gain confidence and inches, many men still want to know where they fall when it comes to measuring up against others.  Here we’ve broken down penis size into five ranges.

Size 1

The Breakdow
Flaccid Length – Up to 2 inches
Erect Length – Up to 3.75 inches
Occurrence – 5% of men

Men with penis in the Size 1 range are the most likely to truly struggle with issues of size.  Men on the lower end of this range may even have a condition referred to as micropenis, which is usually defined as a penis which measure less than 3 inches when erect.  Even for those at the higher end of this range, size can be a serious concern.  It is thought that about 5% of men fall into this range.

Size 2

The Breakdown
Flaccid Length – 2 to 3 inches
Erect Length – 3.75 – 5.10 inches
Occurrence – 20% of men

Men who fall into this range find themselves just below national averages for penis length.  Many men who fall into this range may not worry too much about size but others want to gain simply an inch or so in order to give them the boost they believe will help with performance and sexual self-confidence.

Size 3

The Breakdown
Flaccid Length – 3 to 4.15 inches
Erect Length – 5.10 to 6.5 inches
Occurrence – 50% of men

Size 3 represents the average for men in terms of penis size.  Although roughly half of the male population falls into this range, this is still the range of men who often invest in a penis extender.  Some blame this on the entertainment and media industries which have often promoted an exaggerated body type for both men and women.  Others, however, simply point out that many men want to be more than just ‘average’.

Size 4

The Breakdown
Flaccid Length – 4.15 to 5.10 inches
Erect Length – 6.5 to 7.5 inches
Occurrence – 20% of men

In the range of just above average, men in the Size 4 range may not worry about length, but girth can become a concern.  Typically, length and girth are proportionate but for men with a longer penis, they may feel as though they are lacking when it comes to girth.  In these cases, a penis extender won’t offer much help but other devices, such as a vacuum pump, can offer a boost.

Size 5

The Breakdown
Flaccid Length – 5.10 inches or more
Erect Length – 7.5 inches or more
Occurrence – 5% of men

It is thought that a mere 5%, or 1 in 20, men have a Size 5 penis.  This is the group most likely to be home to porn stars and models, which may go a long way in explaining why men at or near the average use a penis extender.  Of course, for some men, having a larger penis brings with it a number of other problems.  Achieving and maintaining an erection may be more difficult or they may have a hard time achieving an orgasm.

Theodore Roosevelt is quoted as saying ‘Comparison is the thief of joy.”  Nevertheless, we all find ourselves routinely comparing our physical attributes to others.  Penis size is one of the most often compared physical attributes, second only perhaps to weight.  Understanding the breakdown of different sizes within the population may help you feel more comfortable about your own size and give you some insight into how much length you need to achieve in order to move up the scale.
